About the role
Tutor and support a youth-facing-adversity as they prepare for their national exams, both academically and as community peers!
In addition to academic support, Youth Advocates (Education) will work with youths to:
● Establish and adapt to healthy routines
● Receive 1-on-1 care / social support &
● Ultimately sit for the national exams
Commitment
● Minimum 3-month volunteering commitment to Impart
During engagement period, min. 1.5h/week
● Check-ins/interactions with youth over text
● Weekly sessions with child or youth, inc. preparation and reporting
Responsibilities
● Cultivate youth engagement skills
● Create a customised education plan for your youth (with support from Impart as needed)
● Work closely with programme managers to plan best approach (with support from Impart)
● Schedule weekly sessions and send regular reminders to youth
● Send updates after each session on youth's progress
Requirements
● 16 years old and above (if under 18, parental consent needed)
Preferred:
● Prior tutoring experience
● Experience working with youths
